Activity 6 - Holocaust

1.       The Holocaust refers to the deliberate, systematic, planned murder of the Jews in Europe-extermination of Jews. 
2.       The Nazis believed the Jews were biologically inferior and a threat to the German people. They wanted to created pure aryan nation. They blamed Jews for the economic crisis.
3.       Biocotted Jews.  Then stripped Jews of all rights. Then they sent Jews to ghettoes. Then sent to concentration camps. Then the firing squads or special action groups came in and shot Jews. Then they were taken to death camps, because the rate at which they were killing Jews was to slow. The firing squads was also known as Einsatzgrupen.
4.       During World War II, they did not do much, but after the war, they killed all people responsible for the holocaust.

The Rize of Nazi Power

1.       The Nazi party’s political manifesto was created to help receive more votes. They wanted to unify all Germans in one great Germany. They wanted revenge for the treaty of Versailles. They wanted to acquire more land for their people. They wanted racial purity for Germany. Non Germans could only live in the country as foreigners.
2.       “Aryan” people were people with idealistic blonde hair, blue eyes and thin noses.
3.        
4.       They were brought to people through schools, cinemas and radio.

SDI - Spatial Development Initiatives

In 1995 the Spacial Development Initiative was implemented by the South African government. SDI’s are programs for the development of economic activities and subsequently, the infrastructure necessary for the success in undeveloped areas in South Africa.
